You are hereby invited to a demonstration of DK179913, a technical arrangement developed since 2014 by artist Emil Rønn Andersen.

DK179913 is the name of the patent for the invention, successfully obtained in the fall of 2019. In it, it states that “the present invention relates to the development of an artificial light for photography. In particular, the present invention relates to an automated apparatus for recording a photograph using a shooting table setup with a dynamic artificial light source.”

In effect, the technology is able to emulate and automate traditional photographic light shaping tools, with the potential for more complex light and simulation applications. Since September 2019, Emil has been developing the next iteration of the technology at Primer. In the coming months, this functioning prototype will enable a series of artistic and technological experiments and outputs.
